Quotation from Ephesians 2: 10 For we are God's masterpiece. He created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things He planned for us long ago.
Last night, I was listening to Kevin Zedai on the ISN channel when he quoted Ephesians 2: 5-6. Now I have read that before. Yet, those of you who read the Bible know you can read and see it anew when you read again. My focus is verse 6. For He raised us from the dead along with Christ and seated us with Him in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ Jesus.
It doesn't say we will be seated with Christ. It says we are seated with Him. God knew us before we were formed in our mother's womb. He has plans and purposes for us.
It takes us realizing what Christ has already done to know who we really are. When we pray or talk to God, He always hears us and always answers. It might look like He is not answering but His timing might be today in an instant or might be years from now.
The more we realize who we really are, and who we are spiritually, the more we can realize our destiny or purpose on the earth right now.
Most know verse 5,. . .that even though we were dead because of our sins, he gave us life when he raised Christ from the dead. (It is only by God's grace that you have been saved!)
Salvation is just step one in God's amazing plan. He wants us to live like He really died for us. We are that special to Him. He covers us. We need to step into our inheritance as God's sons or daughters and as Christ's friends. We are united with Christ Jesus and we are made new--and we are God's masterpiece. I might feel like a wreck at times but the reality is spoken about me in these verses--and is spoken about you too.
For more inspiration from these passages, read your Bible. Below, I will quote Ephesians 2 verses 4 to 10 to reinforce this reality.
But God is so rich in mercy, and He loved us so much, that even though we were dead because of our sins, He gave us life when He raised Christ from the dead. (It is only by God's grace that you have been saved!) For He raised us from the dead along with Christ and seated us with Him in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ Jesus. So God can point to us in all future ages as examples of the incredible wealth of His grace and kindness toward us, as shown in all He has done for us who are united with Christ Jesus.
God saved you by His grace when you believed. And you can't take credit for this; it is a gift from God. Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it. For we are God's masterpiece. He created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago. (New Living Translation)
